'Tiny House Heviz' boasts stunning views of the surrounding hills & the Bay of Keszthely. For all your swimming needs, lake Heviz is only 5 minutes away, Balaton is about 12-15 min and Zalakaros 30 min. If you want to take a little break from water the amazing wine region Badacsony is 35 min away. 

The house is located next to a small vineyard and feels absolutely magical. It has its very own fruit orchard with figs, cherries, apricots, and pears just to name a few. They make delicious additions for breakfast, salads, and cheese. Please help yourself to as many as you like!

Alsópáhok is located about 2 hours from Budapest airport by car, or 3 hours from Vienna.

It's also possible to go by train from Budapest to Keszthely. For ease of getting around it's easiest if you rent a car or have bikes.

The house is extremely well-equipped; except for a dishwasher, it has everything you can think of, including air-conditioning, an American-style fridge-freezer with filtered water, and an ice dispenser. Perfect for the wine cooler, drinks, and even cocktails with its crushed ice function. If you’re going somewhere fancy there’s a big, solid ironing-board, iron and also steamer for delicates and 2 hair dryers.

And if you rather stay in you can make it really cosy by the fireplace (there is 1 on each floor)

For staying in we also offer a big BBQ, Netflix, amazon prime, x-box, Nintendo Wii, and Wii fit as well as an air rifle with a lot of ammunition and targets for the more adventurous.  Please use eye protection!

The area is extremely safe as it has its own security, but we also have a centrally connected alarm system for you to turn on when you leave, so all your belongings will be safe.

On the ground floor (the old wine pressing section of the house) is an open plan dining/living area with a kitchen, daybed and a room we use for storage that has a toilet and sink. There is no picture of it as the room is a bit ugly, but it functions perfectly and is great if you don’t feel like going up to use the toilet.

On the first floor, there is a room with 2 single beds and a living room/ bedroom as well as the bathroom and balcony. It’s lovely to sit here by night with a glass of wine and admire the lights of Keszthely and Cserszegtomaj hills.

There are a couple of things you need to be aware of: 

It’s an old house so some bits are a bit wonky here and there and you might have to push on the shutters a bit harder to open etc.

At night you can hear the crickets and it’s very romantic, but like all places in the middle of nature, there will be some insects you’ll come across, especially baby spiders, so just hoover them up, but they’re harmless.

Every room has 1 or 2 windows with mosquito nets so please only open those in the evenings to keep the unwanted guests out. If you feel like sitting outside or BBQ-ing, we have torches filled with citronella oil as well as mosquito spray that work well.
